After months of waiting and weeks of legal nonsense the great adventure finally begin...after I've had some sleep.

It's 1am in the morning. We just moved in. And, I am absolutely knackered, hence the brevity. Too tired even to write a grammatically correct sentence But we're in, which for a while there I thought was never going to happen. Our contracts got lost in the post, but we had optimistically drawn down all the funds. So, our solicitor had 310k of our and the bank's money and we were going nowhere, for weeks Then, all of a sudden (with a huge amount of pushing from us, I mean) the solicitors decide we don't need them. That's right we can exchange and complete, but the vendor's solicitor will hold the funds until they receive signed contracts. Result!
So here I am. In the wee small hours of our first day in the house, already wondering what we've done. The nuisance road at the back seems louder than I remember and the trains - we hadn't even noticed them. Oh well, we've got to make it work now and it was a bit of a bargain. When we first offered we were unsuccessful, but that sale fell through putting us back in the driving seat. They should have gone back to the market really, because prices had started to rise again. Luckily for us though, they just wanted a quick sale and suddenly appreciated the benefit of selling to non-dependent buyers. So our patience paid off and our great property adventure is just about to begin...
