Ta da - our beautiful new lounge!


Pictures of the lounge showing the fruits of our DIY.
With the lounge all over bar the shouting, I thought it worthwhile posting before and after pictures to show just the difference it's made.

You can see part of the beautiful bay window (this is at the rear of the house), where we have fitted sealed units into the original timber sashes.

The fireplace isn't totally finished - there's the hearth and mantlepiece to do. The front and hole where made out of plasterboard over a timber frame and skimmed (the original was gone).

And, just look at that period parquet (wood block) flooring; solid oak and simply devine. And, it only took three days of sanding by hand!
