15/12/03 :: Doh, I broke the soil pipe!
Demolishing the last remnants of the old cloakroom goes horribly wrong when the first blow of the sledgehammer sends a block straight through the soil pipe!
14/12/03 :: Plumbing, plumbing, plumbing
Still working in the World's smallest room - the revised downstairs cloakroom, which is now built solely under the stairs.
11/12/03 :: Studwork, concealed cisterns and boxes for washing machines.
The cupboard under the stairs is converted into a downstairs cloakroom and laundry 'box' with only a bit of timber and a few screws.
10/12/03 :: Knocking down and bricking up
The old Thermablock cloakroom is knocked for seven bells, then the old doorway through bricked up.
08/12/03 :: Crikey, this house is freezing!
A new week begins with a rude awakening to the lack of proper insulation and an urgent trip to Wickes to do something about it.
